One of the key principles to establishing Kosciuszko Wild Venison is transforming challenges into opportunities.

Right now, more than a million wild deer roam the border regions of southern New South Wales, posing a serious threat to native plants, animals, and delicate ecosystems. But instead of seeing this as purely a problem, we see it as a chance to create a solution — one that benefits both the environment and local communities.
By ethically harvesting these deer, we help reduce the pressure on native habitats, giving our unique Australian wildlife a chance to recover and flourish. Each animal harvested represents one less invasive deer competing for food and damaging landscapes.
At the same time, this wild, free-range meat — high in protein, low in fat, and naturally hormone-free — becomes a valuable, sustainable food source for people who might never have the chance to hunt themselves.
We are working towards;
-
Restoring balance to the environment.
-
Reducing waste by utilizing as much of the animal as possible and turning inedible waste into compost..
-
Providing a healthy, local protein source without intensive farming.
-
Supporting rural communities through jobs and economic opportunities.
At Kosciuszko Wild Venison, we’re not just producing exceptional food — we’re working to leave the land better than we found it.
